Sky-Watcher P114N Reflector on AZ-EQ Avant mount SA tripod with Pier

You will enjoy the Sky-Watcher P114N/500 thanks to its great optics, convenient portability, and easy-to-use operation.

Sky-Watcher P114N Reflector on AZ-EQ Avant mount SA tripod with Pier

Views of everything from the Moon and planets to distant objects like star clusters and galaxies appear bright and clear through this petite telescope. A fantastic wide-field astronomy telescope with reflecting optics large enough to keep you busy viewing for years to come.

The lightweight and capable Avant Mount works in dual (AZ-EQ) modes

Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ Avant mount

The well-engineered and easy to use AZ-EQ Avant mounting provides excellent stability and precise control in either alt-azimuth or equatorial configurations, via its smooth slow motion controls located on both axes. The slow motion control knobs can be conveniently positioned at either end of both the R.A. or DEC axis shafts.

Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ Avant mount

This extended version of the AZ-EQ Avant mount also comes with an extension pier so there will be enough clearance for the tube and counterweight as the scope points to difficult part of the skies.

The Avant mount also works in Altazimuth mode, allowing it to be used for terrestrial (bird and nature watching) in the day time:

About Sky-Watcher

Sky-Watcher was launched in 1999 featuring a modest line of Newtonian and refractor optical tubes, with distribution in Europe and Asia. In 2000, Sky-Watcher released their first series of Dobsonian telescopes, and two years later answered the rising popularity of digital SLRs with their first version of the famed German Equatorial Mount, the EQ6. Today, with a full product line that includes Dobsonians, APO refractors, EQ mounts, and photography products, Sky-Watcher has grown into the most popular telescope brand worldwide.
