The exciting Sky-Watcher AZ SynScan Mount is a precision engineered instrument that will allow you to easily find and enjoy viewing night sky treasures, such as Planets, Nebulae, Star Clusters, Galaxies and much more. The AZ SynScan hand controller allows you point your telescope at a specific object, or even tour the night sky at the touch of a button! The user-friendly menu system allows automatic slewing to over 42,900+ objects. Even an inexperienced astronomer can master its variety of features in a few observing sessions.

An uncomplicated instrument of very short length for viewing the heavens or for terrestrial observing. With a 102mm objective lens, this telescope allows a glimpse of the vastness of the universe at an affordable price. Its short focal length means it can be called a 'rich field' telescope, which allows great wide angle observing. This refractor is has more resolution than a 70mm, meaning you can see greater detail when planetary observing. The resolution is 1.14 arc-seconds. Experience the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula almost three-dimensionally, because the gigantic field of view turns your observing into a space walk.

The AZ-Go2 mount uses its motors to make the telescope follow the rotation of the sky. Its integrated computer controls (“GoTo”) helps by selecting a suitable celestial object and points the telescope towards it.

One of the AZ-Go2 mount’s special features is its integrated Wi-Fi. This enables the mount to be controlled remotely using the free SynScan app for iOS or Android. You need a smartphone or tablet with this app to control the mount this way. It is also possible to control the mount using optional hand-held controls, but the app provides more functions and can always be kept up-to-date.

Sky-watcher BK1025AZ-GO2 Go2 mount SynScan app

The AZ-Go2 mount is a single-arm mount. This makes it lightweight and compact. Due to the mount's curvature, the telescope does not touch the mount when it is pointed sharply towards the zenith.

The telescope is attached to the mount using a clamp (mounting saddle). This is a Vixen-style clamp and enables various scopes to be attached, even from other manufacturers.

The height-adjustable stainless steel tripod with accessory tray holds the mount and the telescope steady with no shaking whatsoever.

The mount has a battery compartment but can also be powered using an external battery (12V/1A).
