Sharpstar 0.8x Reducer/Flattener (support Full Frame) for 94EDPH

The Sharpstar 2.5" 94EDPH F/4.4 redcuer/flattener is the latest development in dedicated full-frame focal reducers. Designed to work with the Sharpstar 94EDPH apochromatic refractor, this 0.8x reducer and flattener meets the needs of demanding astrophotographers who use cameras with up to full-frame sensors for wide-field deep-sky imaging. It reduces the 94EDPH's effective focal length to 414mm.

This focal reducer features a quadruplet air-spaced structure and large optics that achieve excellent field flatness and illumination over a 50mm image circle. This larger image allows for enhanced mitigation of the decrease in egde of field illumination.

One end of the reducer features a M74×1 thread that connects to the pinion focuser. The other end uses a M48×0.75 thread to attach to the camera or a 48mm T-ring for a DSLR. The focal plane is 55mm from the end interface.

The reducer also features a built-in 360-degree rotator that allows you to easily rotate the camera to achieve the best image framing. An internal M48x0.75 female thread allows the use of standard 2" filters.

Sharpstar 61EDPHIII f/4.4 Full-Frame Reducer

The special full-frame reducer of 61EDPH Ⅲ: One end of the thread is M68 × 1, connected to the focuser; the other end of the thread is M48 × 0.75 and has a built-in 2" filter thread. The back focus is 55mm. If it needs to be extended, the adapter can be screwed down to reveal the M54 × 0.75 male thread, and the back focus becomes 75mm. The focuser adopts a quadruplet air-spaced structure, supporting full-frame imaging. With the reducer, the focal ratio of 61EDPHⅢ is reduced to F4.4 and the focal length is reduced to 270mm, making the telescope the first choice for deep sky astrophotography.

I bought this item several months ago and I have to say that I've been quite impressed, It's very easy to use and once set up works fine. It is relatively easy to use as you basically look through the glass window at the night sky and your scope should see what it sees, assuming that you have set it up correctly. Overall a decent finder scope.
