Do you have a 2" GSO SCT diagonal (standard, dielectric or quartz) that you want to use with a refractor but cannot? Here is the solution you need!  You can simply unscrew the SCT adapter on the telescope end of your GSO SCT diagonal. Then insert this barrel in its place and you can now use your SCT diagonal in 2" refractor focusers.

Or do you have a GSO 2" SuperView or Kellner eyepiece with the old safety-grooved nosepiece and want to replace it with a smooth-sided nosepiece? Then simply unscrew your original nosepiece from the bottom of the eyepiece body and screw this adapter on instead.

Or do you want to use your Meade/Celestron f/6.3 SCT focal reducer in a 2" holder? Then simply attach this adapter to the reducer to use as a 2" nosepiece.

This adapter has a standard SCT male thread (2", 24 TPI) to connect to the GSO diagonal body on one side. The other (telescope) side has a standard 48mm (M48 x 0.75) female thread so it can accept 2" astronomy filters. The barrel is made of aluminum and the inside is threaded and painted flat black to minimize internal reflections.

This adapter will work with the following GSO items:
- All 2" GSO diagonals
- Some 2" diagonals made by GSO for Celestron, Antares, Burgess, SmartAstronomy, TS (Germany), OPT, and others
- GSO 2" SuperView and Kellner eyepieces

This adapter will not work directly with the following diagonals:
- All William Optics diagonals
- Many other Meade, Celestron, Antares and other diagonals
- Any other non-GSO 2" eyepiece

There is no standardization in the astronomy industry for the threads used on diagonal/eyepiece bodies. Hence, do not assume that this adapter will work with your diagonal or eyepiece - in fact, if it is not GSO-made, it probably won't! Please check the thread on your diagonal/eyepiece body before ordering this item - we do not have compatibility information for all the diagonals/eyepieces out there.
