Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 50 Telescope is a compact and lightweight optical tool with quality glass optics. This universal model is also suitable for simple observations of the planets of the Solar system, terrestrial objects, the Moon, and (with a special filter only), the Sun. This telescope allows observing the sunspots on the Sun’s surface. You must be very careful when observing the Sun. Always make sure a solar filter is securely attached to the telescope tube. The filter must completely cover the aperture.
Never look at the Sun and the bright area of the sky around it through the finder scope. The lenses are fully coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating that minimize light loss. The kit includes a quality diagonal mirror.
It transmits an upright (undistorted) image and refracts the optical axis of the telescope for convenient observations of the circumzenithal objects. The telescope comes with 45x and 18x eyepieces with an eyepiece tube diameter of 1.25". The kit also includes a 3x Barlow lens.
This way, you can obtain 135x magnification with the included accessories. The highest practical power of this telescope is 100x.
Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 50 Telescope is mounted on a compact and reliable altazimuth mount. It is very easy to operate. Even a kid will manage to assemble this telescope.
One more advantage of this mount is its light weight.
There is a convenient handle for moving the telescope. The mount is attached to an aluminum tripod; its height can be adjusted from 40 cm to 125 cm.
You will be able to start observations as soon as you unbox this telescope: everything necessary is already included in the kit. This optical tool does not require setup. This telescope is convenient to take with you on a trip or to the country due to its light weight and the useful backpack in the kit. The backpack is large enough for a telescope tube, a mount, a tripod and accessories.
