If you’re seeking crisp, contrasty views with high levels of detail, look no further than the Skymax series, Sky-Watcher’s premiere line of Maksutov-Cassegrains. These telescopes deliver higher levels of planetary detail due to a focal length that is 5-7 times longer than your average Newtonian or refractor telescope.

Sky-watcher Skymax Maksutov Cassegrain Focuser

Skymax Maksutovs feature mirrors constructed of borosilicate, polished and coated with our proprietary Radiant™ Aluminum Quartz™ (RAQ™) coatings, which produce a remarkable 94% reflectivity.

Sky-watcher Skymax 127 Maksutov cassegrain OTA corrector plate

All Maksutovs use a corrector plate to help reduce chromatic aberration, which is then coated using our signature Metallic High-Transmission Coatings™ (MHTC™), producing professional grade optics at an affordable price.

About Sky-Watcher

Sky-Watcher was launched in 1999 featuring a modest line of Newtonian and refractor optical tubes, with distribution in Europe and Asia. In 2000, Sky-Watcher released their first series of Dobsonian telescopes, and two years later answered the rising popularity of digital SLRs with their first version of the famed German Equatorial Mount, the EQ6. Today, with a full product line that includes Dobsonians, APO refractors, EQ mounts, and photography products, Sky-Watcher has grown into the most popular telescope brand worldwide.

*ลดล้างสต๊อก* กล้องดูดาว William Optics ZenithStar 103, f/6.9 OTA Gold

I bought the Zenith Star 103 last year, it had 30% discount and it is my first telescope. I use it with a 0.8 reducer on an AM5 mount and connected to a ZWO 183 mono camera. This focal length (575mm with reducer) is versatile, it can be used especially for Lunar imaging and it is also quite fit for some of the most popular deep sky objects too. The moon photography I get with this scope is excellent, beyond what I expected. I also captured some great images of Orion Nebula, Horsehead, the Pleiades, M33, Rosette, Flaming Star etc. After one year what I can say is that I love this scope, I will certainly keep it. I might buy another one with a shorter focal length to cover different targets, maybe Redcat 51 or ZS 61. The convenient focuser and its 360° rotation ability in Zenith Star scopes is something I'd like to keep.
