Orion Mak-Cass Adapter Ring for Schmidt-Cass Accessories

Here's an accessory that will give your Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope great new versatility. Orion's "MC to SCT" Adapter Ring lets you couple a wide variety of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (SCT) accessories — including the popular f/6.3 Reducer/Corrector — to your Orion Mak-Cass (MC)!

The adapter ring threads into the rear cell of any Orion Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope and provides male SCT threads just like those on the rear cells of Orion, Celestron, and Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. The threads are compatible with all thread-on SCT accessories, including visual backs, 2" SCT diagonals, and common SCT camera adapters. Now you can use 2" eyepieces with your Mak. Or reduce its long focal length and enjoy lower-power, wider-field views by threading on a Celestron f/6.3 Reducer/Corrector (#5120).

Made of anodized aluminum, the Orion adapter ring is designed with an extremely low profile to maintain the full focusing range of the telescope. Buy yours today!

Sharpstar 61EDPHIII f/4.4 Full-Frame Reducer

The special full-frame reducer of 61EDPH Ⅲ: One end of the thread is M68 × 1, connected to the focuser; the other end of the thread is M48 × 0.75 and has a built-in 2" filter thread. The back focus is 55mm. If it needs to be extended, the adapter can be screwed down to reveal the M54 × 0.75 male thread, and the back focus becomes 75mm. The focuser adopts a quadruplet air-spaced structure, supporting full-frame imaging. With the reducer, the focal ratio of 61EDPHⅢ is reduced to F4.4 and the focal length is reduced to 270mm, making the telescope the first choice for deep sky astrophotography.

ZWO ASI2600MC Air

The ASI2600MC-Air from ZWO is a game-changing, all-in-one astrophotography system that takes the complexity out of imaging the night sky. For many of us who have spent years refining our setups, adjusting equipment, and troubleshooting technical issues, it can be frustrating when something goes wrong—especially when clear nights are few and far between. That’s why the innovation behind the ASI2600MC-Air is so exciting: it promises to eliminate many of the worries that come with astrophotography, allowing us to focus more on capturing stunning images and less on the details of cables, balancing, and gear management.
