Cross-Platform Device Control
Except from ASIAIR App, ASI2600MC Air can also wirelessly connect to ZWO’s proprietary PC control software, ASIStudio, and also other 3rd-party PC software. 3rd-party software can be controlled through ASCOM extended protocol Alpaca (requires ASCOM Platform version V6.6 or higher).

(Note: 2.4G has a longer transmission distance but slightly slower speed compared to 5G. The 20-meter range is based on multiple tests of the 2.4G frequency in open areas.)

Low Read Noise, High Dynamic Range

The camera has a built-in HCG mode, which can effectively reduce readoutnoise at high gain and allow the camera to maintain the same high dynamicrange as it does at low gain. When the gain is 200, the HCG mode isautomatically turned on and the Dynamic range reaches a level close to 12bit.The readout noise is as low as 0.7e.

Cooling System

Thanks to the two-stage TEC cooling, ASI585MC Air can lower the CMOS sensor temperature to 30-35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature, which can greatly reduce dark current generation and sensor noise even during extended exposure times.

ZWO Air cameras are compatible with telescopes that support APS-C or larger image formats.
Note: When using a telescope with an APS-C image circle, you may notice slight distortion in the guide star. If you’re looking for more accurate and stable guiding performance, we recommend using a telescope with a full-frame or larger image circle.

    ASI2600MC Duo

    The ASI2600MC Duo combines imaging and guiding sensor in one compact body. The main sensor is the Sony IMX571 coming with a native 16bit ADC, 14stops dynamic range and 3.76um square pixel array. The readout noise is as low as 1.0e, and the full well capacity reaches an incredible level of 73ke. And it has no amp glow!

    The guide sensor is the Type 1/1.8 SC2210 with excellent NIR sensitivity. The sensor size is 7.68mm x 4.32mm. It has 4umx4um pixels with an array of 1920x1080 and a full depth of 8780e.

I bought the Zenith Star 103 last year, it had 30% discount and it is my first telescope. I use it with a 0.8 reducer on an AM5 mount and connected to a ZWO 183 mono camera. This focal length (575mm with reducer) is versatile, it can be used especially for Lunar imaging and it is also quite fit for some of the most popular deep sky objects too. The moon photography I get with this scope is excellent, beyond what I expected. I also captured some great images of Orion Nebula, Horsehead, the Pleiades, M33, Rosette, Flaming Star etc. After one year what I can say is that I love this scope, I will certainly keep it. I might buy another one with a shorter focal length to cover different targets, maybe Redcat 51 or ZS 61. The convenient focuser and its 360° rotation ability in Zenith Star scopes is something I'd like to keep.
