GSO Focuser Base for CRF

All GSO Crayford focusers for reflector telescopes include a mounting base. However, you can also purchase additional bases. Bases fit on all single and dual speed GSO 2" reflector Crayford models. Not for use with GSO's 1.25" Crayford focusers. Aluminum with black anodization.

Base Plate for 6" Telescopes - GSO FF001 (176mm Base Curve Diameter):

Base plate dimensions: 3.54" x 3.54" (90mm x 90mm)
Hole Spacing (center-to-center along telescope tube/optical axis): 70mm (2.76")
Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; straight line measurement): 73mm (2.87")
Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; measured along curve of base plate): 74mm (2.91")

* Direct bolt-on replacement for stock R&P focusers on 8"/10" GSO dobsonians sold under the following brand names: Antares, DSH, Hardin Optical, Zhumell, DBA, and many others.
* Direct bolt-on for Celestron Star Hopper and Meade Light Bridge telescopes.
* May work for some Orion XT dobsonian telescopes. Please measure hole spacing on your scope before purchase.

Additional Notes:
* You may need longer screws for some plates above as compared to the ones you already have on your telescope (available for a few cents each from any hardware store).
* Can be adapted to most other Dobsonian and Newtonian telescopes by drilling additional holes on the OTA if necessary.

Please note: Most GSO Crayford focusers have or will soon develop two bearing marks/lines on the upper side of the drawtube. This is caused by wear on the barrel anodizing where is makes contact with the roller bearings. In some focusers, you have to look hard to find these marks. In others, it is very prominent, even for brand new items received from GSO. This does not indicate a defective or used product and is essentially just cosmetic.

Nice kit with good selection of quality lenses and a case that is strurdy and will stand many mishaps and protect your lenses in the field. I was able to add 3 more locations for some of my existing lenses.
