Atmospheric seeing and distortion diminish as you move further away from visible light into the infrared, and since CCD and CMOS sensors are sensitive to IR light, imaging in the infrared will improve your results.

ZWO NEW 1.25" ADC (Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector)
The ZWO ADC actually does work well. It takes a bit of practice and some searches through the internet on how to use, but if planets are low in the sky the ADC will provide a better image.
