A refractor with 150 mm aperture and a good image, that is the dream of many amateur astronomers. Until recently, refractors with this aperture were reserved for observatories and semiprofessionally working amateur astronomers. Now we can offer this telescope at an affordable price.
This refractor provides powerful optics and high resolution for detailed planetary observing. With its 150mm aperture, this achromatic refractor is one of the larger members of this type of telescope. With a focal ratio of f8, most chromatic aberration is already well corrected. Of course as a refractor it provides especially good contrast, which is highly positive for planetary observing.
The 8x50 finder scope is mounted parallel to the telescope OTA and facilitates location of astronomical objects. Astrophotography can also be carried out with this telescope. The Moon, planets, and even most nebulae can be photographed with this system.
EQ5 Mount with Steel Tripod
The EQ5 provides the precision and stability needed for serious observing. With single or double axis motor drive attached, it becomes the perfect instrument for deep-sky photography. Standard features of the EQ5 include a built-in holder for polar scope, a latitude adjuster with micrometer scale, an azimuth polar-alignment adjuster, aluminum setting circles, large manual slow-motion tracking controls, and a bubble level.
The sturdy EQ5 Equatorial mount provides provides a host of useful features for the serious astronomer. Supplied with a sturdy, adjustable stainless steel pipe tripod with accessory tray, bubble level, latitude adjuster with micrometer scale and an azimuth polar-alignment adjuster.
Optional single-axis and dual-axis D.C. motor drives can be installed for auto-tracking purposes.
