กล้องดูดาวแบบสะท้อน GSO 8" f/4 Imaging Newtonian Reflector OTA, 2" M-R&P-D Dual-speed focuser, Carbon Fiber

GSO's new 200/800 carbon telescope, optimized for photography, offers an excellent alternative for astrophotographers, as it is a well-designed construction made from high-quality components at an affordable price.

GS600C 8-inch Imaging Newtonian OTA

Its 200 mm diameter low thermal expansion primary mirror and 800 mm focal length result in a compact, fast system that is ideal for use with today's modern cameras. The telescope is compact in relation to its diameter and very light in relation to its size, making it the lightest model in its class and therefore highly portable and ideal for field use. Its 20 cm diameter primary mirror provides high performance, allowing the telescope to capture faint objects relatively quickly with a large field of view.

Its optics are made of low-thermal-expansion glass, are precision-machined, and provide an excellent image. The secondary mirror is 70 mm, with a linear cut-off of 35%. The surfaces have a reflectivity of 96%.

The mirror mounts are stable, lightweight and rigid. The secondary mirror mount is made from a single piece, so the diffraction spikes are always beautiful and regular. The primary mirror mount is made of CNC-machined aluminum alloy, which is very stable and also very lightweight. Both optics can be adjusted easily and smoothly.

The tube is made of carbon fiber composite, which is lightweight, rigid, and has virtually no thermal expansion.

The inside of the tube is coated with a matt black paint that absorbs excess light and reduces unwanted reflections. In addition, numerous diaphragms (baffling) have been inserted along the intubation to improve image contrast, preventing any light dispersion that could compromise optical quality.

GS600C 8-inch Imaging Newtonian focuser 1

The 2" focuser is a rack and pinion drive and a mono rail system, equipped with 1:10 microfocuser, which is more stable and precise than a traditional Crayford system. It is compatible with focus motors and their mounting systems like ZWO EAF, ToupTek AAF, etc.

The tube rings are well-designed, lightweight, and can be mounted on both sides. The manufacturer also includes a Losmandy and a Vixen standard dovetail bar with the telescope.

The rear of the telescope has an open design, allowing the optics to cool down quickly. Stray light is prevented from entering by an accessory rear cap, which is recommended to use while photographing the sky.

It is also an excellent telescope for visual use, especially for observing deep-sky objects, but thanks to its minimum diffraction-limited optics (which are typically far better than that), it can also be used for high-magnification observations of the Moon and planets.

For visual use, we recommend at least an EQ5 or HEQ5, and for photography, at least an AZ-EQ5, HEQ5-PRO, Wave100i, or higher capacity mounts (e.g., one of the EQ6, Wave150, or AM5 models).

For photography, we recommend using a coma corrector to achieve point-like imaging in the corners of the image.

Specifications

GSO is a leader in optical telescopes and accessories and their products have been sold for years by the "Big Three" (Meade, Celestron and Orion) under their own brand names. GSO telescopes and accessories are also sold under different names world-wide; Zhumell (USA), Apertura (USA), TPO (USA), Teleskop Service (Germany), Sky Optic (France), Antares (Canada), Astronz (New Zealand), and more than a dozen more brands too many to name. GSO is known for their high consistency in quality control, low defect rate, and their Taiwanese-based manufacturing scores closer to Japan in quality than other telescope manufacturers which mostly manfacture thier scopes in Mainland China. Give these telescopes a try - you will not be disappointed!
